Identify strengths, areas for improvement, and three things you’ve learned through completing these tasks
Portfolio
For my portfolio I did a blog which I feel for me was the right choice, For each Blog, I was able to put down enough information about the project I what I did and how I did it, so I think I explained it well enough. I also added images of my work (sketch) and video onto the blog so that there is proof of work I did and completed and made. For improvement and learn is maybe more images and better at taking the images. For the envelope of love blogs, could have used more evidents of planning the script for the blog and also more images for behind the scene.
Presentation
For my presentation, I wrote the main points for each slide and then explain it more in talking. I think the presentation was my biggest strength because even though it was short on each slide it was straight to the point and I think that was all it needed. Area's for improvement and what I learn is that check spelling because even though I thought confidents was right I should have checked to make sure. I also learn that you don't need a lot of information and that a small amount is good as long as when speaking you give the information that's not on the board.

Minuteman Press Visti
Minuteman Press Visit tour
This is the link to the recording of the tour that Dave gave us. The questions we asked

3 things I learned whilst being there
1.That the popular print is business cards, which really surprises me because I thought it would be leaflets or brochure that would be more popular. It was also surprised that it takes a day for them to print the amount needed for the custom.
2. That they have two building. Building one is bigger only because what they did was knock down wall to the other side of the building when it came up for sale and so they got it an expanded their areas to give them more space for different departments
3.That they've done work alongside with Canada. With other companies in Canada, they work closely with them which is pretty cool.

Typography Project
Main element
1. 3D Element
2. Train Ticket
3. Photography
In my group, we used the train tickets and gave it a bit of a 3D effect. Tickets we also used are planes and buses. The reason why is because of train and buses and transport to college and planes because of the trips abroad.
My idea was to add some extra cardboard to help the letters lean forward making them look a bit 3D. My job was to draw and cut out the cardboard and cover the U in bus tickets and Liv's job was to print out the plane tickets and cover both the Y and O in the tickets.
Angel designed the IT which Involved cardboard cut out of the letters I and T repeated and stuck together then cover with train tickets. She also did the background using paints and splashing other colours on top of the yellow.
I think we did good in our team, we all had our own jobs to do we worked well together at getting the letter cut out and decorated.
3 things I think we did well is:
1. Choosing the cover. I think choosing transport tickets was a good choose
2. I think Angel background looks really good. It's bright and colourful
3. I think the words cut out looked good
3 things that could be better are:
1. I think the extra cardboard I used to have the letters stick out could have been a bit sturdier.
2. Maybe tried to use the train tickets less. It and Y all have train tickets and looks a bit too much
3. Maybe with the plane and bus tickets, we could have tried to get real ticket instead on printing them off. More with the bus then plane since it more of a chance we could have got bus then plane
Strengths - Coming up with a design. When we started we came up with quite a few idea on how we could design the IT and YOU.
Weaknesses- I think for me was cutting the letters out. They did look good but it was a bit of a challenge to get them cut and not go over the line.
Opportunities- Being able to work on our own thing, Angel working on the background and It and me and Liv working on YOU. Me doing the draw out and cutting out and Liv looking and printing and sticking the tickets onto the letters.
Threats - Was the letters not staying up on the board. When Trying to pin them up. The pins wouldn't go into the board and the letters unsticking from the cardboard structure that's meant to have the letters sticking out of the board.

Brand
Out of the 3 brands, we were given to chose from I decided to choose Cath Kidston. My reason for choosing Cath Kidston is because with the other brand (Town and country and the sportswear) I didn't think a gothic style would be good mixed with sportswear, maybe the town and country would have been alright to do but with Cath Kidston there are more items to choose from, and so that's why I chose Cath Kidston plus she was the only one that had similar items to my other brand.
Cath Kidston founded her shop on the 13th April 1993, she sells loads of items like bags, clothes accessories, home items, ECT. She now has multiple shops and a website. She also uses Facebook to help promote her products.
Her audiences are females of all ages, for babies, kids and adults.
My other brand I decided to combine with is Spiral Direct. My reason is that its a brand I know and have bought clothing from them. I also like the type of fashion they design and because I wanted to use gothic fashion, Spiral direct is the only one I know and thought it would be perfect.
Spiral Direct was founded in 1990, their a gothic clothing line; They sell clothing and accessories and home items all with a dark themed usually skulls, blood, flowers, animals, ECT.
Their target audiences are male and females for Babies, kids and adults. I would say most of the clothing is aimed at men plus some of the accessories but most of it all are aimed at females because of the more female clothing and accessories.

Jobs in the media Industry
On Prezi, I made a presentation on a job relating to media. I used Writer as my job and explain ways on getting a job as a scriptwriter and an author. Both I gave two way how to active a chance of getting a job.
Media jobs in the Media
Writer job
I put the link to the website that I found. It gives more information and other career choices, however, I picked the two that I'm more focus on and know that I want to do in the future.

personal logo
For my personal logo, I wanted to use an image of an ink and quill and glasses. My reasons why is because the glasses represent me who wears glasses and the ink and quill represent the writer in me.
The original idea was to have a pair of glasses with one frame with the ink and quill and the other with my initials in it, M.A.E.
These are some practice drawings along with different styles of writing I was trying out. Now the ink and quill I was happy with but the glasses I could never draw near enough similar to one part of the frame to the other. I did try again and again but not just the glasses that didn't look right but the quill I couldn't get to look as good as what I drew the first time, most likely because of the size.
This time I drew the quill first, then the glass frame over it and that's when I decided to not do the other frame and leave it how it is and to be honest I really like it and I think it's just the right size for a logo. I think this represents me well for a personal logo. Also if i decide to self publish this could be the logo i use for my book as a logo representing me.

Bag design

These are two drawings I did of my bag design. The bag itself is copy of Cath Kidston bag which I sketched out. I also kept with floral design that Cath uses for most of her designs.

This is the bag I used to sketch out the bag design for my product but i still tried to use Cath red colour bags and then main

P.T. 2.4
For my presentation, I will be talking about my SMART Target, Weaknesses/Threats and after college.
For the smart target, I talked about how I wanted to achieve a D and how I thought I would achieve it was reading back the feedback I got from my last FMP and used that to help improve my work.
Weakness was my confident for both answering questions and presenting, and so what I'm going to do is answer a question that I do know the answer to instead of sitting in silence and for presenting I would practice before with family and get feedback from them.
After college I would like to go to uni, I would like to do the creative writing course. I also know which Uni I want to go to but I am also going to look at others so that I have more options and in case I don't get into the uni I want to go.
The feedback I got was that it was good that I knew what I wanted to do after college. Another was that I explained how I was going to achieve my goals.
Another feedback was to look over my slides as I had made a spelling mistake so in future I will go through it and read back.

Brand collab 2 Survey results
Repost the survey on a group page so hopefully will get more response.
At this point, I have sent my survey to the Major Crimes fan page group and have now got 3 more response adding up to 6. Two of those people are males ages 26-35 and 56 & over which is a nice change from just being females. At this point, I've got one person who wouldn't buy the product because Cath Kidston is more of a female brand. This shows that men might not buy the bag because of its brand being Cath Kidston. I did also get a comment saying as long as it's a good balance between both gothic and Cath styles.
Update picture later next Monday. But for now these are what I got so far. All in order.
