Film portrait of myself

For the film I'll be making about me I'll be making a film of me making a cocktail (Or a mocktail if prefer). The reason is because I like making them, I like watching people make them (Tipsy Bartender) and because I also want to be a bartender.

I'll be taking the pictures at home, in my room on my what I like to call my bar, because thats where I keep all my cocktail kit along with my glasses and alcohol. I'm thinking about using my camera since it'll be simple plus I think it'll be better cause then using my tripod the shot will be in one place

I will be recording it as a portrait shot,  I'll be a wide shot so that it will have a lot of movement. In background might have some of my alcohol as well as the walk with my cocktail sign on wall.

When doing this I want to try and make it look like the bottles are so what I'll be doing is sliding it along to make it look like it's moving on it owns, the small with the rest of the ingredient's. For the garnishes it going to be a orange wheel and it'll be rolling over to the glass and if I get it right the slit should hit the glass showing it climbing up the glass.

Haven't thought of the cocktail yet

Starts off with all the ingredients being shown one by one all appearing next to each other,  then everything disappears and then appears a chopping board with a empty glass.

Next one by one ice appears into the glass.

First is one of the ingredient being poured into the glass, then as the 1st goes the 2nd comes in and pours into the glass and so on and so on. It's all the same just depending on how many liquids there are.

Next the tin cup seals the mixture into the glass, it's then all shaken and put to the side.

Appearing on to the cutting board is an orange and a knife, The knife is going to slice one piece off then another which will be the garnishes, which will then be shown.

Next the scene everything has disappear, then another glass appears (the drinking glass) then next is the cocktail shake appears next to it. The glass shaker disappears leaving the tin cup behind.

Next the strainer drops down on top of the tin. It's then pours the cocktail into the glass and disappear.

The last is the orange wheel rolling over to the glass and being placed on the side of the glass. And that's the cocktail made. Might have it that it gets taken away and put back looking lie theres less in the glass.

Ending result I have a feeling its going to have some with no hands and some with hands. I really don't want my my hand in the shot until the very end so I will need to do some research on how to make my hand disappear. It might involve Photoshop, so that when I do a shot knowing that theres no way i'll be able to not have my hands in the shot, I'll take a picture of it and try and edit so that you still have the background plus the scene without my hand.

Sounds
glass being tapped (carton or plastic)
Glass being slammed down x3
Ice being dropped into glass
Sliding
Pouring x2
Sealing the cup
Shaking
Slicing
Strainer dropping onto glass

Silent Films

First cinema- The very first cinema was somewhere back i the stone age where in france in a cave there are drawing's  of of animals and people (but mostly animals) And it show's that the animal are moving from the way their legs were draw, This being the first cinema.

When asked what year we thought the first cinema was I thought it was somewhere in the 1900's -1910 between those's years. So I was quiet surprise to find out it was a lot further away then I first thought it was.

Charlie Chaplin- Charlie Chaplin was a silent movie star in the 20th century. Born in the Uk and died in Switzerland on Christmas day  (18 April 1889-25 December 1977)

Silent films-main thing was that Ed put us into groups and we had to go out and record a short black and white comedy film. We had to stay in the college area and record. Once we were done we uploaded the clips onto our computers so we could combined them plus text, colour and music using Premiere Pro.

The thief film and Peer Assessment

The Thief

Good feedbacks
1. It was recorded really well, I really liked the stair way bit, the way it was recorded was good.
2. It was really funny, the way Ryan was running (Vines)

Improve feedback
I think it could have done with some text so that it could have been a bit more easier to understand.

Peer Assessment

Why we have Peer assessment is because when we make a film we need other people to watch our films and then give us their own opinion. This can be good feedback as well as improvement feedback, you need to listen to these feedbacks so that you use what you've been told and help improve you next film.

When you get negative feedback, it's not that the film was bad it's just to helps you for the future for other films you make and learn from the small mistake so that when it comes to making another film you'll used the negative feedback and use that to improve that film and make it better.

When getting feedbacks you'll also going to get good feed which shows that you film is good and doesn't make you feel like the film was a disaster and that there were some good bits as well in film which you could use again. I think it's better to give more good feedback then bad so that the person who created the film don't feel like it was all for nothing.

Short Black and white film

Film I made-The Film I made is a black and white silent film with music in the background (Jazz music since it was around the 1920's) The film also has text so that it's easier to understand what the characters are saying and doing. The theme is comedy and religion.

whats it about- The film my group did was about a religious man (Ben) who goes over to this person (Me) and asked if she's religious in which she reply's by showing him her pentagram tattoo seeing the tattoo he throughs holy water at her and runs. Thinking he's save he see her standing in front of him causing him to run again.

What I could improve/what was good-What was good is that It was my idea and that I was ok with telling them what my idea was and that they used it was cool. I think that it could has gone better when The man see's the Satanic he didn't seem that scared so maybe he could have done something a bit differently more scared.

The importance of Demographics and how it can influence research.

Demographics is important for things like the goverment and sociality for tthings like population growth, againg and migration. Demographics can come in very handy with fundings and school systems.

Demographics can also affect business. The main focus on reseach are Gender, Age, Ethnicity and Cultural Background and Employment Sector.

The analyses used for Demographics are simulation and mathematical models, ratios, studies like population composition, life table analysis.

Demographic is helping alot with America with things like voters by colour or the women's role in leaders growths and leadership. This is helping to shape the US plus the world.

Type & Layout

Example of Types
2003
This is the title for the TV Show 'NCIS'. For this Type they's used a bold as well as having all the letters in capital. This is called Roman.

2005
This is also another title for a documentary called "A Haunting'. For this Type they've used capital wording and and wrote in a old fastion way like ancient times since most awakening spirit's are from time like native american.

2014
This the title for the band Home Free. For this Type they've used Didot Type, this is shown cause of the flicks used on the words and with the letter 'H' and the word 'FREE' they are all done in capitals

This is the Store Name 'Primark'. For this Type they've used simple style and what I think they've used Tracking beause of how all the words and far a part. It's also all in capitals making it more stand out.

1982
This the product drink 'Diet Coke'. The two word's 'Diet' & Coke are two different Typface. Diet is 'Coronet' and Coke is Serif Font, giving two different styles.

1973
This is the Logo of the old airline 'Pan Am'. For this Type they've used the Didot type since it has the flicks at the end of each word which help represent the airline with the words looking like their being blown by the airplanes.

Differences between a typeface and a font

Typeface

Typeface is a design used in words to make them more presentable wheather it's for the alphabet or numbers. It used shapes, symbols and images to make words creatating it into a typeface style.

Font

Font is what contains the typeface in a digital file for all kinds of typeface. It's different from typeface from how the letters are written, unlike typeface where they add shapes or stencils it's more simple.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differences between SERIF and SAN-SERIF face

SERIF

Serif is a old styles of writing. It has the the flick's at the end of each letter's and the width both thin and bold

SAN-SERIF

San-serif is a more moden style of writing since it doesn't have the flick and the width is all the same size.

Serif is used alot more these days then San-Serif which you would mostly see in book's back in older century's.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Difference between Kerning and Tracking

Kerning is when writing a word it keeps each letter close together whereas with out Kerning it leaves caps between. His a before and after picture with and without Kerning

Tracking is kind of like the same as kerning except you can make the letters in the word as far apart or close so that their touching each other. Picture showing different Tracking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEADING

Leading is used for sentance between each line. You hand change it to how close or how far apart you want the lines to be. Picture showing what leading looks like.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grid's

Grids is what are mostly used in magazine. I help because with so manny articles and stories, it needs grib to keep them all together so that when reading people who be confused on what their reading. One type of grid is called a modular grid. Grids are also used in stuff like Newspaper, leaflets for different information and facts and books.

Passport Photomation Media

This movie that was shown from the big screen is called The Conjuring. Because of it's horror theme and that its based on the true case files of Ed and Lorraine Warrens (2 best known paranormal investigator's) Because this film is based on true events it got predictions that people who are interested in horror film it can produce a lot of money for both cast and crew. It's one of the reasons why it made it to the big screen unlike other movie's if there good but won't making them as much money then it won't go onto the big screen and just et put on DVD without being giving a change for it to go onto the big screen.

This Youtube playlist is from the Youtube Channel The haunting of Sunshine girl (512,152 subscribers). This a Playlist of a 15 videos of sunshine and her mom returning back to the cabin in the woods. It's not as big like movies but it something that people would be interested in watching on their phones, like if they were out somewhere or where waiting somewhere, it's something that people enjoy to watch and helps time go by.

I'll most likely be doing a mobile film.

For the film of myself I want it to show my interest of writing. My first idea was to film me uploading a story to FictionPress but I don't know if that would look good.

I've started to rethink about what the film that I want to do about myself and I was thinking about recording myself self making a cocktail because I like making them I like watch youtube channels that involve making them (Tipsy Bartender) plus I also wanted to be a bartender, so that might be a film I'll make instead. I want to try and make it with my hand not being seen so I'm going to need to do some research on ways to make my hand disappear.

I'm also mostly will be putting the video on either Instagram or Facebook.
