Things like scheduling are needed in all 3 production so it help you to keep on track and gives you a deadline on what scenes ned to be shot on certain days and prop, customs and make-up is needed for that scene.
Pre-Production are jobs that need to be done, written and hired before making the film, like writing the script, casting, kit and props, location, traveling and again a deadline on when all this needs to be complete before the production starts.
Production is the day of filming the film this is when you need to get all set design, costume, equipment kit, Cast and Crew are need that day. It's best to have a schedule to help people to know what days are what scene and what are needed for this film.
Post-production is when everything has been filmed and now needs to be edited. Important things needed when editing is the script, audio and the deadline and again schedule with the deadline so you can write down what needs to be put into the film then adding sounds and special effects if needed.
